Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP) is a FREE 8 week educational course for adults with a mental illness, which will be completed in 2 days free of charge.

The class is facilitated by two trained peer mentors. To read more click Here.

Healthy Bodies, Healthy Minds is a FREE weekly meeting for individuals to focus on improving physical and mental health.

The group is facilitated by a trained Hearts and Minds facilitators.

As out NAMI library continues to grow, we wanted to inform you of our latest additions. The recent Asylum event at the Wood County Historical Center was a great success, including Mary De Young who spoke on the History of Mental Illness in America. We are happy to offer her latest book through our library, Madness: An American History of Mental Illness and Its Treatment. It is a fascinating book covering the last century of mental health treatment in America.

WRAP OR NOT?

Which do you choose when you go the grocery store, paper or plastic?  It’s a matter of personal preference or choice.  Well, now, for someone who has a mental illness, or other life problem, there is a choice.  They can choose between doing a WRAP and not doing one.  WRAP stands for Wellness Recovery Action Plan. Hearts and Minds is a FREE program designed to encourage, teach and promote a healthy lifestyle for the mind and body.

This Saturday course is combining 3 one hour sessions into a day session for participants.  

Family members are encouraged to join!

This springs Mental Health 101 will focus on the process of recovery.  Speakers from across the state will be presenting on the recovery process, models for recovery and local programs.  Apanel presentation will give a first person perspective on what the road to recovery looks like.  The Ohio Councelor, Social Worker, and Marriage and Family Therapist Board has made available 6 CEU's through the training.
