A New Year

Submitted by NAMI on April 6, 2011 - 12:33am

As NAMI launches into a new year, we are excited to be offering new programs and starting more events. Some of these events include Mental Health 101, a one day seminar for community members and those that work in the mental health field. We are also planning our fourth annual dinner for March. With all this planning and organizing to do, we have worked hard at getting more hands on deck. Anna, the volunteer coordinator, has recruited some hardworking, dedicated individuals to help in the office. Many come in to volunteer once or twice a week and work on projects, such as the free lending library, the newsletter, and preparations for classes.

I have brought on an intern, Leah, to help with program coordination. Leah Diehl is a senior at BGSU, majoring in Applied Health Science- Healthcare Administration. She will be with us until the end of the spring semester in May. With new plans, and people to help administer these plans, we hope to have an excellent 2011. Thank you for helping be a part of this exciting time for NAMI as we become a larger voice in the community for mental health!!!
