We are excited to announce the addition of a new position! Applications are currently being accepted for a Peer Recovery Specialist. The Peer Recovery Specialist is expected to provide information on mental health and social services in Wood County and surrounding areas. This person will seek information and guide individuals to appropriate services, facilities and programming as well as provide support, education, and advocacy for families and individuals affected by mental illness.
In addition to free classes and support groups open to all community members who live with or care about someone dealing with mental illness, NAMI Wood County also provides community education opportunities and hosts year-round awareness events. NAMI’s mission is to provide help and hope, to individuals affected by mental illness.
