To kick-off Mental Health Awareness Month, NAMI Wood County is hosting "Cookies and Canvas" on Tuesday, April 30th at 6pm. This event is open to individuals 18 and older, and will include a guided painting by local artist, Ben Leese.
The guided painting theme will be "Your Happy Place," which will include painting a scenic background. Participants will also have the option to include a small, painting graphic in their "happy place," by writing in an item on their registration. If you want to add more imagery to your painting, you can write in an item that completes your very own happy place (book, mug, cat, etc.). Our artist will take the top, most commeon items listed. However, we cannot guarantee all writes will be included. Please see registration for more information on how to include details in your "happy place" painting.
Cost for admission is $35 per person and includes 4 cookies and a painted canvas to take home with you. All paint supplies will be provided. NAMI Wood County will not be supplying beverages, but feel free to bring any beverage of your choosing. Sip responsibility! Proceeds from Cookies and Canvas will go towards mental health support and education for individuals affected by mental illness.
