CIT (Crisis Intervention Team) programs are local initiatives designed to improve the way law enforcement and the community respond to people experiencing mental health crises. They are built on strong partnerships between law enforcement, mental health provider agencies and individuals and families affected by mental illness.

Voluntary Advocacy Program





Assisted Outpatient Treatment provides community-based mental health treatment through a partnership between the court, participants, and advocates as a way to:

  1. motivate an adult with mental illness who struggles with steady treatment
  2. encourage full treatment participation
  3. focus treatment providers on the value of keeping the person engaged in treatment
