Webcam Usage During Online Programming

09/16/2020

During classes and groups, we encourage participants to show their webcam and participate in activities and discussions. This promotes engagement with program leaders and other participants, which is the best way to receive the full benefit of the class and group. It also promotes safety and well-being of participants, by allowing leaders to identify if a participant is becoming uncomfortable or needs individual support. To promote safety, participants should inform the a leader if they plan to leave the class early. If the leader is not notified, the participant's emergency contact will be contacted to ensure the participant's safety. As sensitive topics, such as suicide, are often discussed during classes and groups, this process is to ensure the safety and well-being of participants.
