Meet the Team Monday!

Courtney started as an intern for NAMI Wood County in 2015. After finishing graduate school and working in the field, she returned to our organization in 2019 as the Manager of Community Education and Marketing. She currently works as the Manager of Development and Marketing, and oversees awareness messaging, writes and manages grants, manages events and fundraisers, and presents mental health trainings in the community.

How did you get into the mental health field?

I always wanted to work in mental health, but I wanted to do something aside from therapy or treatment. Working at NAMI Wood County has really given me the opportunity to learn how nonprofits are managed and operate and the value that education can have when it comes to providing mental health prevention.

What is your favorite part of working at NAMI Wood County?

My favorite part about working at NAMI Wood County are the people aka my coworkers and our volunteers. All of us have such a passion for this work and jive really well together. All of us really have a respect and understanding for each other and our lived experiences, which makes this a truly unique place to work.
